MS Student - Virginia Tech

Hunter Ellis is a Master’s student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Virginia Tech. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2024, focusing on control systems and machine learning. His research includes reinforcement learning, control theory, and robotics.

Previously, he interned with the Jacobs Space Exploration Group at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, developing control algorithms for the Mars Ascent Vehicle’s Thrust Vector Control Test Stand. He has also worked at the Grenoble Electrical Engineering Laboratory in Grenoble, France, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Carderock, Maryland.
